Ask the seller which number is engraved on it. As I don't know which one is for a fluted DJ 11623x (even if I think it's a "45"), I can't confirm for sure but for many numbers I can say it's not the good one.

Well I can assure you a little bit of plastic will make no difference to the value of your watch.And speaking for myself I would never pay for any bit of plastic thats normally discarded at point of sale, try any AD he might have several in his waste bin that might fit.

Like you, I prefer to keep all packaging that comes with my timepieces, i.e. the Patek cardboard box/plastic, the AP plastic bag, etc...
