Rolex Service
Since my local store no longer sells rolex what do I need to do for service and when? Thanks

Recommend to service every 5 years or so. Send it to Rolex Service Center in Dallas or NYC. They will quote you a service estimate and you can decide what to do. Or contact some of the watchmakers on TRF and send it to them. I hear good things about Rik (Rikki) who is in Florida like you.

You'll get a lot of opinions on the "when". Some schools of thought say wait until you see performance slipping (accuracy, for example). Others say 5-7 years.
It really depends on what you do and how you use the watch. If it's a working dive watch then there are annual things I do - like a pressure check. If its just a dress watch getting 30 days' use per year and has synthetic lube in it, you may go a decade or more between overhaul. As for "who/where" you have other ADs around SW Fla. and many certified master watchmakers. Of course, the RSC is as close as your nearest Post Office.
