Beautiful Lange Datograph video

http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/video-g...ge-shne-updown

I have to say it, if I had fulfilled all my financial obligations in life, including charity donations, and I still had $120,000 lying around, I wouldn't put them towards a vintage Rolex, or AP or Patek even, I'd probably buy a Lange Datograph - it is just perfection in my book.

Great video and watch. I've had mine for about 5 months now and simply love it. Lange has become my favorite brand, with Patek a close second. By the way, you only have to save about $87k to add one to your collection, not $120k, so you see, it's really quite the bargain

Lange really hit the nail on the head with the new Dato. Wait a bit and the price will come down once they hit the secondary market.

Actually $138,600 was last retail price for platinum DS and that is without deployment clasp.

I've always been of the opinion that the Double Split has the most beautiful movement that I've ever seen. The tree-dimensionality and finish is just something else. I'd rather wear that watch than pretty much any PP or AP.

It is something else I must say! The movement is second to none and only double rattrapante made--quite an amazing complication. Wears much different than Patek which I love very much as well of course!
