1680 Dial advice replacment or not???

Please give me your advice on the dial I realize the hand are Tritium. The dial has little to no luminescence after being held to bright light.

IMO don't replace it lume over the years will really fade/go away it is normal if ever you change the dial or relume it. it will decrease value

Gorgeous dial. Don't touch it. You say hands are tritium, they look like Luminova to me. What some do is swap (and keep) the old hands for Luminova ones. You will not see the dial in the dark, but you will see the hands, which functionally might be enough for most.

as is...

I would leave the watch as is...., or perhaps find one that's already been serviced.

I bought a similar watch that had been serviced, so the dial and hands are new rolex parts, they match great, and they light up like a candle. For me, it's the best setup...

I am sorry for my confusing title/question.

My question was in the opinion of the forum members , "is this dial a replacement" it was late and I typed Tritium hands but meant Luminova.
So what I gather so far this is not a replacement dial. Good because I pulled the trigger already then second guessed myself.

The dial looks very original and of the latest production of the 1680 tritium dials, possibly a Mk-4. What is the year production, or partial serial number (first three digits) of the watch?

Also, if you could snap a better picture of the dial, unobstructed, so all the lettering is exposed?

Dial, insert, date disk, are period correct and look great. Hands are luminova replacement and inmo I would source some tritium replacements.

It is not a Mk-4, yours has the closed 6's.

Here is a thread that shows your very same dial in the same range production serial (5.2 mil'ish) with the closed 6's.

Looks like a Mk-1, the "L" is centered to the crown.

Looks like it's got the original silver date wheel, too, and what a great bezel insert. it's starting to fade. Very nice! Congrats!
