Need a second opinion on an ebay purchase
I have my eye on a 1979 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date. The seller is haakwatch11. The item is located in Korea which might be a red flag. I heard there are a lot of replicas from Asia on the market. Can someone provide any insight on the authenticity of this watch. All I know so far is that the serial #6270493 does date the watch to 1979.
Is a 1570 movement the correct movement for a 1500 model? I have found that it should be 1565/1575. What does the D651076 serial number on the movement mean? I cannot reference it anywhere. I cannot refernece the bracelet serial number 78350 anywhere as well. Is this possibly a newer bracelet? Any help would be great. I am looking to make my first Rolex purchase a hope it goes well. I want a watch dated to the year of my birth. |
