Momo Design Pilot Mechanical
A friend of mine wanting to cut down his collection of watches showed me a few of the pieces he wants to sell. This Momo Design Men's Pilot Mechanical (Style: MD375-RB-03SLSK) one was one of his lower priced / cheaper watches and the price was not too shabby. Definitely something to consider for a walk around / beater wristwatch.
I liked the watch because of the fact that it was mechanical and the finish was not too shabby. It is a rather large timepiece and somewhat dwarfs a 40mm Rolex or Brietling Navitimer - just looks big - probably because of the square shape. The front crystal is domed sapphire and anti-reflective. The watch case is Titanium and the front and back crystal's are sapphire. The second hand is off to the left and split into 60 markers - when viewed closely, I like how the second hand moves almost 3-4 times from one marker to the next making for a nice smooth sweeping hand movement. He said the watch is number 91 of a series of 250 (or maybe it was 500 - not sure). Since I don't have a mechanical watch (all of mine are automatic), I am very keen on learning more about this particular watch and deciding whether I should pursue it further. I could not find any information on this watch from the momodesign website or anywhere on the web. Looking thru several websites, one of the sellers had listed ETA Unitas 6497 as the movement. Apart from that, I have little or no information or reviews or opinions on this watch. So if any of you have any input on this, I would love to hear it. Some of the questions I have….. I am not sure if the little open front arrow shaped area by the 10-o-clock marker is some sort of reserve/power indicator or if the red jewel by the 11-o-clock position is supposed to indicate something or just there for decoration. The back is see thru as well. The front face of the watch says ITALY MADE and the movement visible thru the see thru display back says SWISS - wonder which one to believe. The watch comes in a black box, and some paperwork - but the instruction booklet is missing - any ideas where I could find a replacement. What is this watch worth or what was the market value when it was current ? How old is this series. Once fully wound, what is the power reserve on this movement/watch ? Would like your opinion / experience with this model or with momo design watches. Any help appreciated. TY |

Found this on a quick search, hope this helps with your decision. I have no experience with the model, but I'm not a fan of the look. Good luck. |

Thanks. The gives me some basic information on the watch.
Any idea what sort of a power reserve - how many days - does a fully wound ETA Unitas 6497 movement provide ? |

It should be about 46 or 48 hours.
