Like many others on here, I worked hard got married and raised a family. All the major financial decisions that comes with this i.e houses, cars, holidays, more kids ,dogs etc are maid jointly with others.
After 20yrs ( now 43) to walk out of our local AD with a brand new Exp ii (white) was a great feeling, it was mine, this was my treat. My heart still races every time I look at it. Like many others on TRF have said, they can be addictive, I've also read many posts that no collection is complete without a sub. I paid a deposit a couple days ago on a Sub no date shoul be in the AD's at the weekend the wait is killing me. Pics to follow |

Comfort.
I've used Panerai and Omegas and Tags before... I got rid of them all for the Rolex.

I like the fact it is a timeless design, and that it is a tiny mechanical work of art that runs smoothly on my wrist. Oh, and that it's mine! :)

The fact that I enjoy checking it 1000 times a day and still have no idea what time it is.

For me it's fit, the Rolex seems to be perfect weight size and feel on my wrist. I used to have a bulky uncomfortable breitling super avenger and 6.75 until I tried on a Sub. It's been all Rolex since.

I'd been wearing my PAM's lately, but today put on the 116231 MOP. Stunning. I like my other watches, but this one is special. The color of the RG, the new jubilee bracelet, the clasp, the new lug design....
It doesn't get much better than this. Tonight I'll put on the SD and relax.... |

Bob's wise words of truth!
I mean, it is a good watch, with a lot of brand history, worn by famous people all over the world, timeless, classic, beautiful, payable, worth the money, ......and so on. BUT: It is a sexy watch, and it makes us feel good! That's the point. Tom |

It loves me unconditionally even though I 'literally (didn't) save a life today.'
Anyone North of me see what I just did there? |

No, he didn't, he does wish you'd save a life though...or at least do anything else than taking naps and eating candies in front of a Soap Opera's!
