1680 white, dial help needed

Some weeks ago we had an intresting thread here about 1680 white dials variations. As I always thought, the L alignment to the left were always replacements / service dials, instead of Mark IV as I understand in the thread.
Here is mine s/n5.4. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

That is a tough picture to comment on.

Can you post a better picture with the text unobstructed and a close up?

Better picture!

I know the thread you are talking about (see below), which mentions that there are only three dial variations, bla bla bla bla.... FYI - there is a similar discussion about the 1675 dial variations.

Here is a picture commonly used to make distinctions amongst the 1680 dials (FYI, yours falls on the far right). I guess if you were to count from left to right that would be: 1, 2, 3, 4 (yeap), let's call it for the sake of "no" argument a "the one to the right of the Mk-3 dial."

Thank you for your help.
Yes, that is the thread I referred. I have seen here or in VRF , a long discussion about it, not always clear enough when they describe a service or replacement dial. According to that pic of 4 dials mine should be Mk4 (fourth to the right) so it is not a replacement one as I have been told in the past.. Am I right?

It is not a replacement dial. As you can see from the referenced thread, that particular dial is common amongst other owners within your serial number range.

The argument is very similar to that of the last version available in the 1675 series. While available during the end of the model's production year, the same dial could be seen in much earlier models as a "replacement" dial if swapped out during service.

It is not my desire to muddy the waters, but I will tell you what I have learned about the 1680 white dials. There are three established 1680 white dials. The rest are service dials. I used to own the dial pictured on the far right. Very little was known about the dial at the time. Since then, it has been pretty well established by many that the dial is a Beyler service dial. Last year there was a thread involving this particular 1680 white dial... "L" way to the left of the coronet and open 6's. Over the course of discussion Marcello won a bottle of Champagne from the OP as he (Marcello) correctly identified the dial as a Service Dial. Here is mine for comparison. There is another pic in the VRF Dial Archive. I no longer own the watch...wish I still had the insert.

The thread:

This link may prove helpful from VRF by Marcello.

Thank you both for your advice and time to help me. I would not bet a bottle of mineral water to Marcello but beyond that I see that still it is a controversial point. Thank you again!

Here is an enlarged pic of the dial to compare to the OP'S dial and the one in the other thread.

Clear evidence, Beaumont. Thank you. Last question: which dial should be correct for my watch s/n 5.4? I really appreciate your time (as well as the other mmeber of the forum) in trying to help me. Kind regards
