Wonder if Rolex owns private airplanes?

Just wondering if Rolex USA owns a fleet of private planes? Hmm wonder if Rolex SA owns jets that can fly transatlantic??

They probably lease/rent aircraft as they need them for special purposes. Most major companies that don't require an aircraft all the time do this these days. Saves quite a bit of money over time.

Best regards,

J.

Rolex is a for profit charitable endeavor. It seeks to make money, but not waste it on things like jets. It pours its money first back into the company, and distributes a trust share to the Wilsdorf family.....the rest to charitable, scientific and humanitarian concerns. Its charter is not consistent with blowing money on jets to my understanding. Why would it need them anyway. The Wilsdorf family lives very well, and numerous scientific and educational and athletic interests can well be served with the profits. One reason why I don't get my boxers all twisted up about discounts.

I went to college with a guy whose family was involved with the Deutche Gramaphon company, and his family received a trust share before profits were used to benefit the music world. At age 17 he was on the Board making decisions about which violinist would be playing the Beethoven violin concerto on the label. Lived well but simply and still does. Actually, I talked him into getting a Rolex and he chose the Bluesy.....found a small discount in LA and got it. He explained these kinds of trusts to me, and so I doubt you will see a Rolex jet. They put their money back into the company.

A company the size of Rolex normally has a jet or two for executives to use, but I don't know if they do.

I work for a $15B company (big, not huge) and we have seven.

Commercial travel sucks so badly, most find if best for their execs to have company travel. It's also a nice perk. They use the jets for personal use also. The fees are imputed income and they only have to pay the income tax. Of course, a NetJets-like service isn't cheap, but it saves the overhead costs of a flight department etc.
I have a couple of friends flying Corp Citation 10s or G4/5s. They always worry that they'll be "out-sourced." Really depends on how much use the planes are getting.

Hahahaha......................very funny.

Your white jet is used for the execs, mine is the Black one that is used for the non-execs.
