Question bout Scratches on bracelet and such on a Rolex

Hi I recently got my uncles GMT 2 this model is prior to the Ceramic Bezel. I was just wondering what would be the best way to take the scratches and scuffs off the bracelet of the watch. I know the scuffs add character but i want to start anew. What can i do aside from givng it back to the AD to fix

Some people use Cape Cod polishing cloths with great results. AD is by far the best way to go.

You need to (should) have it serviced by the RSC every 5-7 years. If you do, they will send it back looking brand new. Fully polished, re-oiled and parts replaced. Don't know how long your uncle had it, but it will not only make it last much longer but make it look brand new.

Amado,

The CapCod can be used on the sides of the case and the edges of the bracelet,

The brushed parts are a bit more challenging.

Take the bracelet off the watch to make everything more accessible. Lay it flat on a non-slip surface and stroke it with a 3M Scotchbrite pad..

There are also some sanding sponges that give it a good satin finish..

Practice on your kitchen spoons, forks, and knives first...

The 3M pad is the safest and easiest bet I've found. I would never suggest using the Cape Cod on the brushed finish--you will quickly find yourself the proud owner of a semi-polished oyster bracelet.

Leave it to the RSC.
