Is the Exp 1 going away?
After much agonizing over a few choices, I have decided that the Exp1 will be my first Rolex. I love the sub, but it is too much watch for my small wrist, and I truly love the clean look, shape, and feel of the old Exp. I have just learned that dealers aren't getting them anymore and have heard that Rolex has stopped sending them out. Seems unlikely, but wondering if anyone here knows about this. My plan is September 08 for my birthday and I doubt I will be ready for a purchase much before that time.
Any info would be much appreciated. |

I also have heard the price is going up to 5500 USD, but this also seems hard to believe.

I'm going to say no, it is not going away.
I recall that a 07/08 catalogue was posted within the past week and it clearly had the EXP and the EXP II in it..

Has the Exp1 been updated with the new bracelet clasp? I've seen pictures with the new one, but I'm not sure if they were fake or a switched band or something...

It is definitely in the latest catalogue I picked up at Rolex UK last month and list price in the UK is £2330 GBP, so I doubt it is being dropped.

Excellent! I was hoping that wasn't going to be the case and thought it sounded a bit far fetched.
