This is the oldest wristwatch in my collection.

It belonged to my Grandmother and was given to her around 1917.

The dial has no identification.

The case is Sterling Silver and engraved nicely:

It sports a nice 17 Jewel Swiss movement:

Although the movement is signed, I know nothing about this Watchmaker:

Anybody run across this Watchmaker or have a similar movement ??

womens watches really are way more impressive given their size and attention to fashion

not sure what you have but its not junk thats for sure

there is so much value in these things in the open market I wonder if people will wake up to vintage womens pieces - I have no idea what this is worth - I am sure it priceless to you but you can find dealers selling say, movements adjusted to 3 postions 23 jewel, gold filled, fancy balance wheels the whole bit for under a 100 bucks!

I don't know much but I think its 1920's, gold plate over a base metal - those arylic crystals are notorious for being loose - just the nature of the beast - I put a dot of super glue (I know its a ghetto solution but it will not rattle.

she's a perdy one - if only it could talk...
