Funny. In the end with over a 100 votes, the Explorer II prevailed by 3 votes. Hmmmm
And that's SubC vs Explorer II |

They are both die hard watches. You got love them all the way. Which one do you love? Which one is there an affinity towards? Are you an explorer, or a seafarer?

I guess I'm a "Seafarer" with "Explorer" tendencies. This one has, and still is, plaguing me. I've always played in the sea, but the nod to the 1655 with the 42mm keeps calling. That all being said, I still drool over my 114060. |

Keep the Sub. I didn't liked the Exp2 as much as I tought I would and ended selling mine after a couple of months.
The Sub is the best balanced Rolex. |

Sam Fremstar you knocked it out of the park with your pictorial reply.
How can anyone not appreciate your awesome efforts on that one? |

I'd keep the Sub. You're wife will cave eventually and let you have both!

It's not even close IMHO, I'd sell the ND for the Explorer II. As much as I like the improved ND the Explorer II offers so much more! The date for starters, additional time zone and most importantly that tantalizing orange hand and writing that gives it the perfect amount of pop and uniqueness.
Good luck! |

I think as a 114060 owner, it is easy to take our watch for granted because they are so simple. I personally think you'd miss the Sub after a while. As you said, you still drool over it. I would not sell the sub but instead wait for the funds to get your next watch. Then again, I think long and hard about which watch to buy and although I have small moments of doubt, I will never follow through. If I find another watch I like, I simply start saving.

I love everybody's perspective here. Thank you so much for your perspectives. Much appreciated.
It sure seems like the "general" sentiment is towards the Sub in the comments, but the poll still favors Explorer II. Interesting. |

I could always just wait until my wife calms down and then rock and roll. I think the Explorer II would be be an awesome partner in crime. All this BS has made me the most indecisive jerks around. |
