We lost real Rolex lover today.
My dad died yesterday he was 90 yoa . He was in ww2 serving in U.S navy on the aircraft carrier USS Bunker Hill. He told me that some pilots on the ship were waring rolexes which he never herd about before. He had a very high regard for the pilots for the skill and bravery .My dad was in the engine room because his trade was a tool and die maker. He told him self one day I'm going to get one of those watches. It took him 30 years but he bought a Yg DD that he loved had it on for the next 30 years never leaving his wrist. He gave to me it last fathers day. Miss you dad you were the best! Your son George

So sorry tho hear and my sincerest sympathies. The entire world owes so much to our WWII Veterans as they fought bravely and sacrificed so much.
May you wear your DD with pride and always think of your Dad when you glance at the time. |

Condolence...90 years of age, is already an achievement. My grandfather is already 89. and everyday we are with him, is added bonus.

Sorry to hear your Dad passed. I have a new respect for the sailors, after spending a weekend on the USS Lexington with the Cub Scouts. Your Dad was better equipped to appreciate the fine machine he wore on his wrist than most of us.
Remember him fondly, every time you look at his Rolex. |

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. You now have that Rolex to connect your memories to your father whenever you look at it, and you in-turn can pass it to your next generation.
