Tell Me how did I do? Explorer II 40mm

Explorer II 40mm, year 2000. I would put condition at 99.8 percent myself and Jeweler agreed it showed zero signs of wear. I got the box, but no papers, final price after all negotiations was just shy of $4,000 before tax. Closer to 4,300 including tax which is a high rate here in AZ.

Apologize in advance that my camera is not so good.

Thanks and sorry the pictures are plain aweful.

Great watch. Great price.

But you bonked when you picked your name.

Thanks all for the kind replies, I got them down as low as I could, after transaction was over the owner who I knew leveled with me that I was within $200 of the price he sells it to his "rolex dealer" who needs to make 10%. So I knew I got to my striking zone and was confident after the buy. I am known to bust balls, I have bought new cars and had it so close to their price they have to come out and ask politely for them to please get a couple few hundred commission then deal...I am pretty good negotiator and definately have no problem walking away, especially in this economy, you get the point.

If so confident: why ask how you did?

Because I am insecure? No, JK, its because I want to know just how well I did, I mean I know prices I know Rolexes' I get on my smart phone and go to work before i make final offer.....yet still, I yearn confirmation, and what better place to prove that I owned it pretty well than a forum like this, full of people who know. Didn't meen too rub off as cocky in terms of my negotiation skills, but this is my first Rolex, I bought it two days ago, I still feel the need for confirmation I guess. ;)

but good question super dog and I hope you can understand my neuroticism may play some factor, when I spend money I tend to be neurotic about getting the best deal, or else I rather sit on my cash...

Just enjoy the watch brother. You did a great job, but that's now I overwith. Enjoy the amazing watch you just bought.

And get some more pics to post. Especially a wrist shot of that beauty? It's stunning!!!

that last one is of me driving my favorite beater truck, the lexus would have been more fitting, 350is, but allas I think the rolex makes everything look more classy

p.s. pics came out better this time! no more pics unless full sunlight until i get a decent camera......

And sorry don't mean to offend anyone, but I am a pretty big dude some want it bigger? To each his own though heck I bought a super avenger at one point so I am not one to judge, or shouldn't judge...
