Pre owned milgauss

Can anyone give me a general price range of a pre owned milgauss, a 2007 model with the green sapphire case? Also between that milgauss or say a stainless steel datejust, with jubilee bracelet, which model so you think would have a better resale value later? Thanks

Welcome to TRF Gimp

Spend some time going back through the for sale section and it should give you an idea on what you will pay.

You may cop some flak for making your first post about prices & resale value without first introducing yourself, TRF is a very social place for watch lovers not so much for valuations

I hope you stick around and add value to this forum, it's a great place.

Welcome. I just paid 6k for a 2008. From what I've seen, upper fives to mid to high sixes is what you will get a used one for. Depending on the condition and age. Happy hunting.

aha, my apologies to my fellow Rolex watch lovers. Please let me introduce myself...

I am a high end fashion model who travels all over the world modeling for some of the most famous designers in the world...Armani, D&G, Versace, etc. I make oodles and oodles of money for basically doing nothing, so I started to have a desire to join the elite Rolex watch collectors club....

Just kidding....

I came to appreciate and value Rolexes when my father gave me his first purchased Rolex. That was over 14 years ago. I watched how much he admired and loved his Rolexes and I came to appreciate them for what they were....beautifully crafted timepieces with an incredible history. As the years have gone by, I have always wanted to purchase a Rolex of my own...with my own money.

I am finally ready to make the plunge soon. For years, I have liked the simple SS datejust with jubilee bracelet...roman dial...fluted bezel. However, I have just discovered the Mlgauss and am seriously considering that model as well.

I appreciate everyone's advice and information. This truly is a great site for Rolex watch lovers to come and discuss our common interests....

BTW, Gargamel647, thanks for the info. I am looking for a 2007 or 2008 model, so that info definately helps. I see that you are in Sin City as well. Would you mind if I asked whether or not you got that watch here in town?

Z, M, V - 2007-2009 ish.

£4000 or dollar equiv seems a reasonable price.

Hey everyone.

I just joined this forum because I am interested in getting another Rolex. A Milgauss.

I've owned a 16710 for 15 years and before that an Oyster Quartz.

I had to send the 16710 in for some work because it finally sprung a leak. I never took it off ever and now I feel naked without it.

I live in Silicon Valley and the store I took it too said they'll send it to the Huston service center which turned out to be back logged with repairs so the original repair estimated time of 5 weeks doubled to 10 weeks. They told me that when I phoned them on the day I expected the watch!

I was wondering why the Beverly Hills service center wasn't used? I'll have to ask them.

Anyways, that's my introduction!

I was looking to get a used Milgauss like the OP.

The used market seems to vary depending on the age, condition, links and paperwork that comes with the watch. (Boxes and stuff)

What value do you guys put on the paperwork that comes with the watch?

I was talking with one guy who sells watches on this very forum and he was charging a $500 premium just because the watch came with the box and stuff.

Anyway, I was looking at getting a Milgauss GV serial #M for under 6K.

As the watch is 6 years old with no factory service as of yet.

Is that fair?
