changing the band

I have an old 2000 dj and want to change to the new president style, how much would that usually cost on top with the watch band and I want the band to be authentic as well. The only place local for me i can think of is Alpha Omega I live in Boston. thanks

I am sure that the fitting charge will be free should you purchase the strap from the same AD.

The strap itself will be very expensive though.

Do you know that the president bracelet made of only solid gold or platinium? Just, only the gold it self worth more than a couple hundred. You are talking about couple thousand here just for the price of gold it self.

MRSP on an authentic gold president band is circa $11,000.

A concealed clasp in S/S? I would budget at least a grand. preowned rolex.com has a used SD braclet for $800.

Don't be sorry, ask all the questions you want..this forum is fantastic. But yes, authentic Rolex bracelets are shockingly expensive. Be careful with used, these things get stretched out and scratched up over time. I would get a new one from an AD and sell the old one on ebay and try to recoup some of your dough.

FWIW- I know that a new TT for a Sub is $4400. I think I'll keep my old one, ding and all.

Forget about it, the cost will be more then the DJ is worth. Also I would keep away from Alpha-Omega, the original owner fled the country after leaving the company with huge debt. There is reorganization going on now, but the whole company is on the verge of bankruptcy. If you buy anything there make sure you take it with you when you leave the store or you just might never get it.

Welcome to TRF!

I am not sure if you can fit a new-style Jubilee with SEL on an old-style DJ case, at all. The pin holes are placed slightly different so that the pins for the SEL would not fit.

Anyway, price for the Jubilee bracelet with "Crown Clasp" (concealed clasp), ref. 63200, is US $ 1,275 (!!).
