Cloned/Fake Daytona?
Hi Guys
Happy Holidays! I was talking to a buddy of mine that saw my Daytona and went crazy. He ordered one online from a seller on Ebay that had put his name on 2 lists and got 2 and ended up selling one. My friend got it and it looks exactly like mine in every way. We were just wondering: Is it possible or have some of you already seen, a Daytona, that will come with all the protective plastics, tags, box & papers as if you were buying it from a AD? Also, on his watch he obviously has the Serial number that could be seen on the space between the dial and glass. That serial number matches the one on the warranty card that has the AD name pre-printed (Jared) Have any of you ever seen a fake Rolex with all those details? I know they are getting pretty good, but any way they take the time to engrave the serial and make a warranty card that matches? |

Sounds good to me.
I haven't seen any fakes with Chapter Ring Branding (those letters between the dial and the glass), though they may be out there? |

Here are some other things to look for in identifying a fake:
Click here... Also, check the hands on yours against his. The vast majority of fake Daytonas have shorter hands than the real McCoy. |

Thought we wern't to use the F word round here.
If someone is that desparate to fake it then unfortunately they will. f |

Just to have peace of mind take to a RSC and ask them to check it out. They will not charge him for the service.

What is the point of the thread? Why waste cyber ink on what "if's"? Take it to be authenticated.

The whole point of the thread was originally, to know if anyone has ever come across a Daytona that has the serial number between the dial and the glass that matches one on a Rolex Warranty Card stamped by an AD

Yes, I have seen the branded chapter ring on fakes (LEC too) But the few I have seen have "Rolex" printed on them in dark screening and I beleive that the real rings are laser inscribed and therefor are lighter. Have your friend send you a few pics for posting and the Daytona guys here will know in an instant.

Being that Jared is an actual US AD, they might also want to be alerted in the event that their name is being used on a fake warranty card.

If the Warranty card has Jared pre-printed and the serial matches the watch, theres a pretty good chance that the watch is real
