I am waiting for after Basel. I think something is up for Basel this year, not just for the Daytona.

i am looking to buy a GMT IIC which i don't think will change at Basel. So i am going to wait till i see a nice one priced aggressively. Nothing to do with Basel

Well i think depends on the model. I just got a new DSSD from the AD less than a month ago! I guess we wont be expecting any changes regarding that watch but if i wanted a Daytona i probably would've waited to see what's new this year especially that there are a lot of rumors regarding Daytona.

What sort of Rolex are you keen to buy?

As posted earlier...if you are considering a Daytona, it might be wise to wait.

If we end up with a red and blue cerachrom GMT, I am going to have a big problem!

Depends what you are looking for or waiting on. For me nothing Rolex will release will affect my interests.

I agree. A new model won't degrade the value of the old one. Plus, you'll be waiting even longer to get one. If you are in the market, pull the trigger and enjoy it.

I have two watches that I want, an existing, if uncommon panerai, and a discontinued rolex. Barring a brand new model within my price range, a GMTIIc pepsi with red gmt hand is the only thing that'll sway me, I think.

I'm waiting. Although I know what I want, I can't know what might be released that I would want more. I believe a Polar Explorer II will be next for me. Should Basel bring no great surprises, then that's the plan.

a. I am waiting to hear what Rolex has planned before making a purchase
b. Regardless of what Rolex announces my mind is made up and I'm buying now
c. I will be purchasing now and after Basel 2013 if I see something else I like

This ===> d. none of the above

All set for now, will be interested to see if anything exciting comes up at Basel, but not planning a purchase based on that.

Buy now!

Until Basel news are hitting the stores, there will be very likely a price increase.

I think you should wait.

That way you can see what will be available next year and you can be sure to know the price increase.

If you like a piece(s) now, then buy.

If not, wait.

Simple.

Buying a Rolex isn't about settling on a reference, you have to love it.

If there's no love, don't buy.

The retail price could be increased this year. With that being said I just purchased my first Rolex and will more than likely wait until the end of the year or next year to get my next one (maybe a SkD). Either way I don't think that my DD will lose value, so why not get it now.
