Rolex Date 15223, real or fake?

Hi I Just bought a Rolex Date 15223 from a Luxury watch store, close to where I live. It might be overpriced but due to experience I would rather pay more and have a proper contract, than buy it cheap and be ripped off. I realised that the date window is not as magnified as I would have imagined it to be. So I compared it to the other 15223 and I'm still not sure.

This is where I bought it from.

The magnification doesn't look right on the cyclops, but there isn't a direct picture of the dial, only from the side, so I'm not sure.

Its difficult to say, because from looking at the pictures, everything looks real. The movement looks good, The engravings is good. The serial numbers from the Oysterband and the watch exists. Why would they put soo much work replicating the watch when they get the magnification all wrong? Well thanks anyways. Ill get it checked from a rolex dealer when the Holidays are over.

Hi Scott
What I really like about Germany is that problems like these are taken serioulsy and when the rolex dealer agrees that the watch is fake, I get my money back. Im not actually woried. Its just annoying.

Ya, I know the Box is not the right one, I figured that out when I read Datejust on the manual, but that does not bother me.

Nor the booklet in the pics, but those don't really have anything to do with the actual watch. It looks fine from what I can see in the pictures. The angles are a bit tough on the face pics to get a clear image. It's possible in the last 21 years it got serviced by an independent watchmaker and got a aftermarket crystal.

But I do have to say, the weight is good, I nearly cant hear the movement, and the hand moves very smooth.

I am no expert whatsoever but I get positive vibes looking at this watch. Make of that what you will. AM.

I tried to Bargain it down abit. The reason why I bought it from this website, is because it is a dealer, and in Germany it is compulsory to give a 1 year Warranty on every product what is sold through a Dealer. I could have got a Date cheaper if I bought it private but then I wont have the security.

I got my watch checked by a certified Rolex dealer. It 100% original, including the crystal. I guess I was bit paranoid. Thanks for all your comments.
