1980 DD 18078 tube Q

Rolex will only put the cheap steel tube on when I change my gaskets .My non rolex repair man said he would and can install a gold tube which the new DD have. I like the idea of every thing gold if possible . What would you do ? The reason rolex will put the steel tube in is because thats how the watch came from the factory.

I would replace with correct part but that is how I like them. Do as you wish as long as it works and you are happy! Cheers,

If by "tube" you mean the crown tube-threads, the steel one is to resist wear. A gold one will be soon "gone" with risk to the watch.

If you reffer to something else, sorry I did not get it.
