Which to get?
It's really been a great while since I purchased a Rolex and my very first one is my GMT-IIC (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=37911).
Fast Forward 5 years, now am contemplating on either of the two: a 116622 YM Blue Face or a 116520 Black Face Daytona....... H E L P ! ! ! ! ! both are nice and I've tried both on my wrist and really can't decide??? I know the easiest is to get both but just one for now......

I personally would get the ym, but IMO the GMT II is very similar in design to the ym. So to toss it up and go in a different stylist direction I'd say Daytona. But standing on its own I think the ym is a better looking watch. Have any wrist pics of both?

Blue YM! If your heart is set on a Daytona, maybe wait a bit as it's rumored that there maybe changes to the Daytona this year.

daytona the new blue face ym is brand new and they take a drop when your going to get rid of them . The daytonas hold good value and dont take that much of a hit . if i could i would buy another 16622 but pre owned you can pick one up for half of what they retail just wont be the new blue one ..

I think the YM will go nice with your GMTII. Then again, I do have a bias to watches that are at home in the water!

between those two, daytona for sure. while i like the blue dial and red accents, something about when combined with the bezel doesn't work for me. plus, the daytona will make a great combo with your GMTIIc. good luck with the choice!

That is a really hard decision.i want them both as well and in the near future will be going thru this dilemma.not sure what I will do except try both on and hope one looks better at the moment, also I enjoy no date watches more than date watches so of prob go Daytona.i know I'm not much help.

Another vote for the Daytona - if you can read the dial.
Different enough from the GMTIIC The YM is a silly watch IMO. ;-) |

Since, you have a GMTC, I would say neither. Get a pre owned Day Date, that's one special piece.
