So in total I paid about $260us, double the price in the states.

That said I'm happy since she loves it and the quality is great. (and I know what good leather looks like since my life depends on it every day!)

I intend to get a backpack for myself and in that case the postage is a much smaller percentage of the actual cost, though the duty will be higher.

Had the same issue when I bought the weekend duffle bag, duty came in at £80 & postage of a further £80, get bits sent to a friend in Illinois now who mails it onto me & saves a fair few £££
