Honda Workshop at Garcia Honda-Albuquerque
Tonight I attended a workshop and buffet hosted by Garcia Honda where I have bought four Honda automobiles, including the '13 Accord EX.
I shot some cellphone pictures while I was there. I hope you enjoy them. This is the first time that I'd ever attended a car dealership affair, but I must admit that after everyone had gone through the buffet line and settled in for some chow, the conversations began to flow and it was quite enjoyable. After everyone had time to eat, we met the Garcia family, who owns the Garcia Automotive Group, which comprises, by my count, twelve dealerships in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and El Paso, Texas. I didn't win a door prize, but one of the winners, according to Toby Garcia, buys a new car every year. The service manager then introduced the tech staff, who then manned several Q&A stations where attendees could interact with staff. I've always appreciated the sales and service staff at Garcia Honda because they've always treated me very well and any time there have been any issues, they've resolved them in a timely manner. I was very impressed tonight at how truly gracious Garcia family is. They were also celebrating their eleventh Honda President's Award.

That sounds like a great experience where the dealership is showing appreciation for the customer.
The only shindigs I ever hear about over here is when a new model is released and they invite you to the dealership to try to sell it to you! |

Grady,
Your post about purchasing your Accord helped me make the decision to buy my 2013 Accord too. Thanks for sharing the photo events! |

Thanks for sharing. I've owned 2 Accords and the '13 is amazing. I'm a fan of the Sport edition. Best looking car and all around value under $30k IMHO.

Hey folks. For some reason I can't get onto TRF on my computer, so I'm using my cellphone's 4G connection. Congratulations on the new Honda, Boomer!
Now, I have to figure out what's going on with my cable connection.

Nice to see a dealer showing their appreciation to their customers.
It's no surprise that its a family owned business. Family run businesses can have a certain way of showing it's not just business, it's our personal business and we appreciate you. Nice. |

Honda is GREAT!! Hopefully they fix their Hybrid bugs so I can buy one. They are much more pleasant inside compared to the Prius.

Wow! What a trip.
I lost connection to TRF on the day I posted this thread, so since my computer was getting squirrely, any way, I reformatted it and got a lot of little things squared away, but it didn't help the TRF problem, so I reformatted again, still to no avail. Then yesterday, I gave it a shot and, lo and behold, here I am.

Sounds like a great dealership to deal with! Long time Honda fan here since 1990. My wife and I have owned 5 Honda/Acura vehicles in that time and enjoyed excellent longevity, our last ones well into 300,000 kms and still running excellent when they were moved on. Expecting the same from my 05 TL only a little over halfway there at 190,000

Honda has been one of the best examples of trying to build better value for the owner - and succeeded. Nice move by them...
