How Does a Tudor BB or HC Wear vs. Exp II 42mm
Hey All,
Looks like there is not much discussion on the black bay or heritage chrono lately. I have tried searching, but if anyone has input I would greatly appreciate it. The largest watch (besides a quick flip of a Pam 111) I have owned was an Explorer II 42mm. It had a great fit, but can't go larger or taller. Now since I got my grail, I do not have a stainless watch to wear daily. I am looking for an economic watch with some flair. I love both the black bay and heritage chrono with grey dial. If I can find a good pre owned model, I will likely buy it but I need to make sure either would be a good fit. At this point I'm leaning towards the chrono. It's impossible to try one on here in NYC. If anyone can comment how either watch would wear compared to an Explorer 42mm or Sub C I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!! |

I have all three; BB, THC and Exp II 42mm.
Width-wise, they are all about the same. The BB is thicker than the Exp2 and the THC is thicker than the BB. Although the Tudors are thicker, this is offset somewhat because the backs are so flat. The SUB-C looks small in comparison to any of these. |

Thank you! Do you have a similar shot of the chrono vs exp ii?
I didnt think the chrono was that thick, I really love how it looks but can't handle such a large watch. |

Oh man. They both look great!!
Thank you so much for the pics. Looks like I might try the chrono. The case back is indeed flat even compared to the Exp II. |

You're welcome. And I just realized that I never set the Exp2 for daylight savings... I guess you now know which one gets worn the least!

Wow, these comparison shots are great. I'm really digging those Tudors (and of course the Exp II)
