Vintage Chronograph...Lubed up...
I've shown this Lanco before...but it has been untouched for several years.
This watch is 43 years old... Lanco was a well respected Swiss Watchmaker from the mid 1800's, and became part of the SSIH holding company in the 1930's, along with Omega and Tissot, among others..... So this one resides in the Omega Box.. It sports a complete disassembly, rebuild and lube job.. The dial shows some wear as this was a daily wear for me in the late 1960's. The dial was only given a light clean-up and the hands untouched. The original lume has aged nicely. Sporting a new Hirsch Leather Strap and 14k gold deployant clasp...This one is ready for a night out.. Here are a couple of before shots on it's solid gold Alaska Nugget bracelet.

That is a good looking timepiece. So the red numbers are like a metric tachymeter?

The black is of course Seconds.. for stopwatch timing. The blue scale is the Tachymeter.. for speed estimates; either meters or miles. The red scale is a Telemeter scale.... ... This scale is used to gauge distance by sound.. If you see lightning in the distance, you push the stopwatch (top) pusher...When you hear the sound you stop the hand (bottom pusher) and read the distance from you in kilometers.. Or, from a military perspective, you see the gunfire, you time until you hear the sound, and you know how far away the guns are..

Beautiful watch, Larry! That's the kind of piece I'd be proud to have in my collection.

I must have missed that one previously, Larry.
It is such a stylish watch, superb on the wrist.
