Big Dipper and Small Dipper. Or Beauty and the Beast.
With all these new colors, metals, bezels and for some brands even new models coming at you from Basel and bloggers galore, it is nice to take a step back and be thankful for what we got.
I like my 40mm sport Rolex watches a lot, but sometimes you want timeless beauty. A piece that flies under the radar, which is all about harmony and balance. That piece surely is the 114270 Explorer in 36mm. Perfect with short or long sleeves. It is what I wear to a business meeting. Other times you just want to go all out. A watch you can take to hell and back. No excuses. One that I think handles and operates like no other Rolex does. Sure, there are things to dislike about it but overall it is a tremendous technical feat and celebration of engineering and quality. The one and only Rolex Deepsea. I own more watches but this duo really check a lot of boxes for me. |
