It's so....uh...small..Sub vs. ExpII 42

Wow...I just put on my 16610 after wearing my 216570 for a couple of months. I have a smallish wrist 6.75 inches and the 40mm feels so much smaller than the 42mm.

Anyone else have a good sized watch feel "small" after wearing a larger watch?

I don't pay as much attention to it really. I have a couple of watches that are 44 mm in diameter. Obviously the sub is smaller but I don't paying attention to the size

I have a 46mm Citizen that wears just fine, and then I had a 45.5 Planet Ocean that felt like it was comically large after wearing a 42mm SMP 300M for half a year.

Yes, it happens all the time for me....needs a few hours/days to adjust.

Had a 44mm panerai for a short time. Putting on my 40mm sub felt tiny. Sold the panerai...

I agree especially about the same concept being applicable in reverse.

I eventually become accustomed to whatever I wear after a while.

Part of the fun. Each piece is unique and the size difference helps me to appreciate the differences while I adjust from one piece to the next and back again.

For me, it's not so much the diameter of the watch. It's more the thickness of it. I know when I go from my Sub to my Superocean it's considerably thicker.

Just went from my 45.5mm Omega Planet Ocean back to my SubC.

And it did feel small.. for about 5 minutes!

Didn't take long at all for my brain to readjust.

It's crazy going from a 47mm PAM to a Sub-C.
But, I love the different sizes.
I still think 40 - 42mm is ideal.

I do the 16610 > 216570 > 16610 bounce all the time and never feel the Sub is small, but sometimes I do think the E2 is large.

I think 40mm is just perfect. These watches that are above 42mm look ridiculous.

I was rotating between a 48mm Breitling Super Avenger, and my Sub C at 40mm. Needless to say the Breitling was cut from the team. I really liked it, but i grew out of it quickly. Now I rotate between a 216570 42mm EXP 2 and a Sub C. I don't feel as much of a size difference as you between the two as the sub C has the larger lugs and wears larger than it really is.

It will be interesting to go back to the 216570.

After wearing for a bit, I think the size difference is less about the case and more about the dial. The hands and markers seem thin and small. I guess I should switch up more often. Talk about first world problems....

The Sub is a mid size watch among most divers these days.

I use to switch from Daytona, GMT, or Sub to the 42mm SMP and never felt any difference.

Feel the same, but i just went the other way, just love to wear the really smal ex1 ; 36mm!
Need some time to adjust from the subc, but i really really love balanced dail-bracelet and the smaller size wears soooooo comfy and looks classy!
So i go smaller instead of bigger...!
