Discontinued bracelets
Just wondering if anyone knows if rolex will still sell you replacement/additional links for older style bracelets. I want to order a half link for a 16710 bracelet but not sure if Rolex would still sell me one?

Your AD can get it for you or a watchmaker with a Rolex parts acct.

They have plenty of parts knocking around for the previous generation - it's when you start getting to models from the 70s and before that you have problems getting parts

It is my understanding that during overhaul they make whatever link is needed, so why not as an additional replacement?

Thanks all for the input. I spoke to my AD yesterday and was advised that I cannot buy a half link for a 78790A bracelet (Exp2 16570) not because it is discontinued but because they don't supply a half link for the bracelet. Does anyone know if this is true or not? I was under the impression that Rolex provide half, full and even 1.75 type links for their bracelets.

For my knowledge, I don't believe there to be a half link in an oyster bracelet. That is why the clasp has adjustment holes and the new has the micro-adjustment.

perhaps give the rsc at st james in london a call and find out for sure. even if the link is not original they may be prepared to help you to get your watch fitting correctly. worth a phone call

However, the new Oysters on some models do come with a half-link, and so you would need to order one of those using the new bracelet number. You may have to brush the sides to match, but they are bolt on to any Oyster.
