A series ExpII "Swiss" Face designations
Hello All!
I am a new Rolex Owner and Forum Member and I wanted to ask about the various "Swiss", Swiss Made", L Swiss L".... indications on the Face of the 16750 Exp II Models? What is the meaning of the designations... are certain designations more collectable? Thanks very much for the insight! |

Welcome to TRF!
Just adding one thought to your observations of dial types - and this applies to any model. Don't forget that the original watch (no matter what serial number) could have had the dial changed by the Rolex Service Center. The "SWISS", etc. can really get a little mixed up that way with service dials which sometimes carry generic designations.

An Explorer II is a 16570.. Since they were not around in the pre-60's, you will not find one with a radium dial. If it says "Swiss" it is a 1998/99 model as they changed from Tritium (T Swiss T) to Luminova (Swiss Made) during that time.. One is not really more collectible than another - yet.
