I tried the classic on today at the Rolex boutique in nyc and that watch is amazing. I would go classic.

I sold my classic YM a while back because of the lack of contrast. Still think it's a beautiful watch, but have taken more of a liking to the new blue.

Have the classic and it's one of my favorites! Don't have a blue faced YM.

You certainly can't go wrong with either, both absolutely stunning, but I own and prefer the original.

Tried the blue on in Vegas few months ago and really loved it so I pulled the trigger on it today from DavidSW...arrives tomorrow...I won't sleep tonight.

I guess there is only one 111622 and it's blue but I prefer the 16622 with the Platinum dial over the blue.
A red datewheel will make it a little more perfect.

Platinum dial for me, I like neutral colours that go with everything: Silver/WG/Black/White/YG, etc....
Unless I switched all my clothes to match? Then again, most of my stuff is black anyway?? Perhaps its just my OCD speaking... |

Where have you seen a 116622 with Platinum dial?

You haven't looked hard enough but it is still available with the platinum dial, newer bracelet with flush fit end links so they don't stick out like the old bracelet and a new machined clasp. With the upgraded bracelet, Rolex changed the reference number to 116622 and added the blue dial to the line last year.

It's the 16622 classic SS/Plat for me.
That model just seems as dressed up as any Rolex but still a sports model; perfect. |
