Pics of my four Everest Straps
As you probably all understand I'm a huge fan of the straps from Everest Bands. The quality seems to be superb, they are comfortable during daily wear and the excellent service provided by Michael all leads to this. My black Everest strap was bought for the Sub, but as you can see it also fits the Explorer 39mm
For my summer beater I wanted some colors, and a few days after my e-mail to Michael these were in my mailbox |

I never would have thought to put an Everest band on an Explorer I, it looks great!

Not digging the Everest. Black probably the best looking. The color ones de-rolexed the watch too much in my opinion.

Is there a reason you put these straps on other than just liking how they look?

@Billywiz
I like the look of them, that's right. Besides that, I find the Everest Straps to be very comfortable to wear. I use my watches in all kinds of activities - gardening, motorcycling, boating, biking, hiking, skiing, flying etc. The Everest take this (mis-)treatment better than a bracelet. Especially the bracelet on the YM, it's quite fragile with the PCLs and is not very scratch resistant. So, several reasons. @CKL1213 I have not wore the RubberB over time and I might also be a little biased. Anyway, I find the Everest to be softer and more flexible. This comes in handy on a hot summer day when the wrist size seems to increase a little. It also looks to me like the black is "blacker" on the Everest, and that it keeps staying black - it doesn't turn into dark grey or lose it's shiny new-look. The difference might not be very noticable, but at the end I find the Everest to be more bang for the bucks. To those who find this to "de-rolex" or "cheapen" the watch, I will try to explain why I don't feel uncomfortable with this, but we are obviously not buying or collecting watches for the same reason. When I buy a Rolex - or any kind of watch - I really don't care if anyone recognizes it as an expensive watch, a Rolex or anything else. That kind of attention I can do well without. As the matter of fact, I'm happy to wear my watches without anyone noticing whether it is a Timex or a Rolex. I buy a Rolex because I like it and because I believe the quality of the watch is excellent. My watches doesn't seem cheaper or less good to me with natos, leather or rubber. I know what I'm wearing on my wrist and that's all that matters to me. To liven it up with some sharp colors for the summer also gives me a good and happy feeling :-) |

I really like the band on the Explorer. I have seen that these straps are available for a sub date, but I haven't seen whether they fit a 14060 Sub.

The buckle is very easy to install. A small screwdriver does the job. Demount the buckle including the number of links you need to keep on the buckle when mounted on the strap. I need to keep one link on each side of the buckle to get the right length.
I have also bought an aftermarket buckle with the glide clasp-system. That way I get the micro adjustment and the original buckle remains in the box as good as new. |
