16613 runs faster on the bracelet than it does on rubber strap

This is a very strange phenomenon, but my 16613 runs fast when it's on the bracelet, vs when I have a Rubber B mounted. Is it possible that just the bracelet is magnetized, throwing off the movement when it's mounted, vs when the nonmetallic Rubber B is mounted?

Well seeing its made from S.Steel and Gold and S.steel in very anti magnetic its very very very doubtful.By how much does it run faster on bracelet compared to the rubber strap. And even the rubber strap has metal end-links plus the Rolex clasp if you are using yours.

Close to a minute a day. Crazy, I know. I think I'll get it regulated to see if that will help.

Have ever given your watch a full manual wind if not do so 40 full crown turns clockwise. Then wear it for 8 hours plus a day just cannot think of any reason why any watch should run faster on a bracelet or rubber strap. And will add if any watch gets magnetised which very seldom happens in general they will speed up.And run very very erratic speed up by many minutes,or hours even, or come to a complete stop and refuse to re-start.

Does your daily activity change with the strap? Is it something you do when you have the rubber strap on that you do more or less when the bracelet is on? Swimming, laying around, playing sport?

Do you hang round the dive shop when you have a rubber strap and is the dive shop next to a magnet factory?

Its a long shot, but heat dissipation from the bracelet vs none from the rubber strap? Im not an expert but hey?

No way...I think!

Maybe the way the watch is resting during the evening? On a bracelet it could be face up...on a RubberB it might be crown up (or down)...that at least would have some impact. But surely not 1 minute's worth...

Over how many days did you average the timing?

Impossible the watch head is still on the wrist no matter the strap and that's mainly where the watches internal temperature will come from.Myself just cannot see why there is any difference unless owner has made a mistake in his timing. And to check any watch it would have to be done over 5 complete days. With exactly the same routine of wearing and with a full manual wind to start the test on both straps. But for it to be out by a minute a day now that is very strange no matter what the strap in use was.

Take both bracelet & strap with you when you visit watchmaker. Have him put naked head on timer, then head + TT bracelet, then head + RubberB. You will then know strap doesn't matter...or you might share new exciting discovery of radioactive rubber

Remember pics!

Haha, I'm thinking you may be onto something with your first suggestion. I'm going to reboot my testing this week to compare accuracy on the bracelet vs the Rubber B. Maybe my timing was off the first time around - I promise I'm not crazy, haha

I thought initially that my watch had become magnetized, since my magnetic collar stays came into contact with the watch at one point.

I've never given it a manual wind so I'll give it a try.

In re thinking this is it possible as some posted that your activity level is much more or less when it's on one or the other. Do you put it on the strap say before going for a 5 mile run then switch back to the bracelet? My Seamaster was always very sensitive to this. I would sometimes forget to take it off and go out for a 5 or 6 mile run and it would affect the accuracy a bit. Don't know what else it might be...

I think that's a thought to ponder, perhaps the OP should put the watch in the same position when not worn at night with both the bracelet and the rubber band (although I'll have to suppose it's impossible...or almost...that a watch can gain or lose more time with a different bracelet or band), I would take a wild guess and say that the watch will probably be just as "inaccurate" the two times. My guess is that the watch simply needs to be regulated.

I would doubt that even that would make a big difference unless the watch needs to be regulated or has a problem in its movement Tim, would you take a look at its accuracy right after your activity or the next day?
