A pocket watch! 14k gold appearently...

Does anyone have a clue what kind of watch this is or if it's worth anything? I'll post a pic of it next to my sub so you can get a sense of its' size. It's working also. The sewing box is an inherited object and the watch seems to have been in the box when she got it. Maybe I should pick up sewing...

Whaddaya think?

Brand seems to be Ancre Spiral Breguet...

I'm not sure I dare trying to pry that thing open... I wouldn't know how to do it the right way...

Ha! I also found an Oris alarm clock, not workning though, in the same sewing box!

I'll post pics of it and the movement of the pocket watch during the weekend.

Look in the grandfather clock for spools of thread.

What does the inscription say?

I think the inscription reads:

"Ancre Spiral Breguet
Balancier Compensateur
15 rubis"

The movement was as easily accessed as implied earlier in the thread. I just popped it up with my finger nail.Took some shots of it for you to see.

I also took a few pics of the Oris alarm clock I found in the same sewing box. I'll take it to a watch maker to find out what it would cost to fix it. Hopefully, it will be worth it since I want to use it just because I find it so beautiful.
