New YG Blue ceramic sub.
Ad rang me to come and see it today. New clasp adjustment lift slide and re-clip - very nice. Colour was almost identical to the current TT blue sub. First pix seems to wash the colour out. Second pix shows the correct darker blue.

One of the great things about the 16613 Black TT Sub is that there's only one shade of black. They all look exactly the same regardless of the production year. And its as much at home in the boardroom as on the starting line of a yacht race.

I bought the same watch a couple of weeks ago and I love it! The contrast of the black and gold is a real eye popper and feels great on the wrist. I dont go into board rooms or yachts. Im looking forward to wearing it on the first warm spring day with jeans and white t-shirt

Beautiful pictures, my 2009 model series M has rolexrolexrolexrolexserialnumberrolexrolex on the ... rehault (sorry if mistake) like the 14060M-COSC Z-series,(Photo courtesy of Mike)
Sorry, a M serial number means 2007/2008 i think.

I've never been a fan of the NonCSOCs; far too vast looking.

I have a TT sub with black dial and have had it for three years now. All my other Rolex's stay in there pretty boxes as I love this watch some much. I recently took it to St James square for a service and leaving it with the Rolex service agent felt as if I was parting with a kidney!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sub ND 14060M has gone up in price by U$600 in 2 months.
I visited 6 stores in Tokyo today and 4 stores were sold out on new but one had a used F series. Other 2 had 1 each. Prices are the same as for the Sub date. The model being discontinued makes it all the more popular. Yes JJ is correct, why is Rolex killing off one of their most popular models? |

Hey All
Wondered if someone could answer something for me. I have just bought an M series 16610, also have the rolex engravings in the rehaut. Are there meant to be any serial numbers on the bracelet? I thought I'd seen some on older submariner bracelets, how come there aren't any on my 2009 M model? Should there not be any on there or am I panicking about nothing! |

Had the same panic on mine, the braclet numbers are on the ends of the solid inks where it joins the case. You will need to remove strap to see them.

Mates,
With regards to the 14060M: why is there 2 kinds of dial, one with extra writing of Superlative chronometer officially certified and the other without? Is it about the movement or the year/series? Sorry for this question for am not that familiar to this model, Im just having interest because I plan to get one so that my 5513 will have an offspring. TIA for all of you, SP |

Non COSC vs COSC 14060M
The two lines of writing on the dial is for the Non COSC (Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified - Rolex talk for Swiss Chronometer).
While the 4 lines of text is for the COSC Version - Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, which is the institute responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of wristwatches in Switzerland. The four lines of text is just a marketing ploy really, since the Explorer I uses the same movement (3030) as the 14060M Non Date Sub and is an Official Swiss Chronometer. Proving the fact that any Rolex can be made into an Official Chronometer with a bit of tweaking. Not to mention the Fact that this is 'Rolex' we are talking about - So premature failure of the movement is something you need not be to concerned about. I myself prefer the cleaner and more classic look of the Non COSC - Looks more 007!!!
