10% discount good for two watches?

I went to a local shop today to buy a watch for my Wife and saw a beautiful Master Control there too.
They said I could get about 10% off each watch. Sounds pretty good to me since I've done no other business with this store. It'd be nice it would be more so I'll probably only get the Wife a watch. I'll have to save the Master Control purchase for the future.

No way, 25% should be minimum on a Jaeger. Keep calling/shopping around or try one of the trusted sellers here. 10% is nothing.

Good luck!

2nd that. 10% is "good" barely on rolex, and they are a lot more controlled than many other brands. yes, you should be in the 20percent + especially buying 2 watches. u have been on here long enough. use one of the trusted sellers. save a ton

25% would be great. That would allow me to get both. but I guess I'm not that good of a negotiator.
How do you even start that conversation?

15% on a JLC is a pretty good deal. They raised AD prices last year so margins aren't the same as they used to be.

If they will not budge call a different AD. There are a lot of JLC dealers that will deal especially if you buy two watches.

Not in the least. JLC is one brand you can get a discount on. I'd be asking for more like 25%+ off two watches.

You: I'm ready to buy today
Salesman: OK I'll give you 10% off.
You: No. I'm a cash buyer right now for 25% off both. If not, I'm out of here.
Salesman: ?????

If he says yes, buy. If he says no, find somewhere more reasonable. It's not as if standard JLCs are rare. Just find another AD. I'm sure someone here can provide a reference for a dealer who can discount and ship.

I suggest you do your homework on that one. JLC is a very nice brand but prices have always been on the soft side. I wouldn't touch a JLC for less than 20% off (in Asia they often go for at least 30% off MSRP). If you intend to buy two at the same time, I'd push for 25% - it can certainly be done if you shop around.

10% is definitely a major joke.
Is the margin still 40% on JLC these days?

I think not, since everyone has been squeezing dealers lately. I agree, however, 10% of two JLCs is just...

You should still easily be able to get 15% even if you have no buying history with an AD.

Tell the AD another AD is offering 20% off so I'll buy from you right now for 25% off. If they pass then do this with all the ADs until one bites.
