I totally agree with this. It's all about your own personal standards. It could be a symbol of excellence and the fact that I know what it is is all that really matters. Fashions coming go but gold will always be a precious metal.

I think the answer is personal but one should consider the following:

How do you wear the watch?

How old are you?

Do you love the current watch?

Would you prefer multiple watches?


In my case I'm in my early 30s so YG would be out of place on me I think. WG is nice but just adds cost to a watch, not always value when you resell.

If you have a need for a second watch I'd dump with WG and get the SS. Use the surplus to buy another.

I love stainless. Durable. Understated. Timeless.
