ANY VC OWNERS?..RE:VC OVERSEAS vs AP ROC

Here is my dilemma. I am a AP owner, RO 36mm. That being said I am looking to aquire a modern larger sport watch, maybe a VC Overseas to my collection. I was going for the AP ROC as it is a larger modern look. Then I saw the Overseas, funky bezel, I thought eh. maybe but not over an AP. Then I saw that new band and wow it just pops. (wife likes it also,so thats a plus) Maybe cuz I have worn a AP for 15yrs daily that the band looks stale (still nice but maybe stale-wifey's words) I love AP but will VC grow on me or just go on a watch winder?

Any VC owners wanna weigh in for me please.

I'd be curious as well - I was in the same dilemma - between an AP ROO vs VC OS Chrono.

Ended up w the AP Panda as I felt the overall construction, feel, finishing of the watch was superior to the VC.

Exactly !

I've had good time with a friends Overseas, was gorgeous but still utilizing JLC's movement (which is fantastic) and the finishings were a step below AP…Cool design, royal oak bracelet is similar overall so if you got bored of royal oak;s you'll eventually get bored of VC's..

Maybe veer away from the RO/ROC/Overseas and get a diver with a bracelet? Will give you the dressier full SS option with the rubber as well. Changes the look and it's sportier/wears really well.

Or a Panda offshore? All great options

Here is my beloved Panda, get's daily duty while my BEE/Grand Prix are at service center and over anything in my collection, including Rubberclad.

Very Nice photos.. I discounted the ROO Safari/Panda as it was bulky, I am around machinery at work, and it would be a ding magnet. I looked at the Panda 39mm nice looker and the AP ROC blue face, also very nice, so thats my issue in a nutshell. TOO many AP choices. But the VC uses a varient of the Piguet movement, I thought it was a VC inhouse movement, its not a Hallmark Of Geneva certified movement, and its not COSC either.

To me, the VC wears a little small--especially for a 42mm. It seems to be more Daytona sized at 39mm the way it wears. Just my .02.

I like the bezel and bracelet on both but dislike the egg shaped case on the VCO so I would go for the ROC.

The VC Overseas is a very well build watch, certainly quality. If you want some variety, it will not be a bad choice. But do shop around for a better discount.
