You sure can. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

I would go JLC, but between the sub and daytona, definitely daytona.

I have both of these, with all possible band options, and was in the same position regarding what to wear to a wedding a few weeks ago. I ended up wearing a Breitling fry-pan on an ostrich strap. My second choice would have been the Daytona, on a Chrome Hearts silver bracelet. I don't get asked to many weddings.

Of course you can. Many things are contrary to the "etiquette", and we can intentionally ignore the rules, but you have to know thems to be able to break them. Imho when it comes to formal dress code, elegance means pass unnoticed and be coherent to the situation. If the wedding party is "black tie" (i.e. tux), wearing a sport watch is just like WRITING UPPERCASE ON WATCH FORUMS: we could do it, but we don't.

I agree that elegance means pass unnoticed and coherence to the situation. With this in mind I would not hesitate to wear my SD with a tuxedo, and surely I would pass unnoticed. IMHO more important than wearing a certain watch with a tux, is the tux itself and how it fits. Some of the tuxedoes worn today (shiny, dark blue, purple, etc), the body type wearing the wrong style of tux (short, plum fellow wearing a double breasted jacket, etc), and the way a man handles himself (stiff, relaxed, etc) make more of a negative statement than a professional Rolex that fits well on the wrist.

Wear what ever you like, more importantly, do not wear a tux without a pocket square.

I vote for JLC.

I would go with the JLC, but since that's not a choice then Sub. Despite the bezel, it has a much cleaner dial. You probably don't need to use a chronograph to time the wedding.
