Icon2 fs: Rolex 18k/SS Zenith DAYTONA COSMOGRAPH 16523 ~ORIGINAL PAPERS~ 'INVERTED 6' dial

Good day, TRF!

Formalities out of the way first: Overnight shipping and insurance are included in US, will ship overseas, but at the buyer's expense. Price quoted is for payment by bank wire, PayPal/credit cards are OK, but buyer pays the fees (typically around 3% of amount, higher for AMEX). Returns accepted if the watch is misrepresented in ANY way. Have TONS of references, on and off TRF. Face-to-face in Southern Ohio or Northern Kentucky is fine, we can meet at an AD if that makes you comfortable. PM me with any questions, or call/text me at 513 680 6239.

Rolex Daytona Cosmograph w/ Zenith 'El Primero' Movement

18k Gold / Stainless Steel

model 16523 ~ S - serial (1993-1994)

priced at $9300 shipped domestically

This particular example features a rare ‘INVERTED 6’ dial, where the numeral ‘6’ on the bottom subdial is upside-down, resembling a ‘9’. Very few examples exist with this type of dial and it is deemed more collectible.

Zenith Watch Company built the base for this movement, and Rolex finished it with bridges and logos. This is considered by experts to be superior to the Rolex in-house movement, as the Zenith beats 36,000 vibrations per hour, as opposed to Rolex's in-house 28,800 vph.

actual watch for sale, many more pics below

CONDITION: Pre-owned, clean. Showing light wear in usual spots, but not over-polished like many examples out there – case is thick, with all correct lines. Clasp and bracelet (will fit up to an 8 inch wrist) are nice and tight. The pictures provided are of the actual watch for sale, see for yourself! Mechanically, this watch is running well within specs.

Comes with all original papers: the green sleeve, Factory Service booklet, ‘Your Rolex Oyster’ booklet, ‘Rolex Cosmograph’ manual, and most importantly, the original ‘Warranty & Chronometer Certificate’ with matching numbers. Not many Zenith Daytonas are out there with full documentation, this is quite a find!
