Any Rock and Roll fans?

I was in my local favorite watch shop today to browse and my normal sales guy shows me a Daytona with Black Dial. Before he even handed it to me I was telling him that I am not a Daytona fan. He told me to turn it over and as I did I saw an inscription on the back.
The inscription on the back said, " Alice Cooper" given to him at some Car Racing Event. That had total cool points. Alice lives locally and brought a couple of watches in to sell. It comes with full provenance. I didn't ask what they wanted for it but I am sure a pretty penny.
This is the same store that I've seen Randy Johnson, a US senator, a NASCAR driver, and an adult film star....oh yeah, plus the bistro owner who was just kicked off Gordon Ramsey's show..

No, I didn't take any pics of the Daytona but I will try to get one

Alice Cooper is and was a genius and an innovator. I have my black-dial Daytona on a Chrome Hearts bracelet because it looks a bit Rock & Roll. Partly out of respect to Mr. Cooper.

Yngwie Malmsteen is a big Rolex fan. I recently read that he has over 40 Rolex's in his collection with several worth $100,000. Must be nice!

I was on my Harley one day stopped at a red light and this red Ferrari, Convertible btw, pulls up next me, I'm checking the car out from back to front and finally get around to looking at the driver and I'm like "hey, that's Alice Cooper"....

The funny part was his golf clubs were in the passenger seat

Thats a cool encounter too. I read 20+ years ago that his handicap was a 4 back then!

Yep, he collects Rolex, vintage Ferrari, and Fender Stratocasters.

His new autobiography Relentless is a great read if you're at all a fan of his music. I have been a fan since I picked up a guitar in 1991 or so and for some reason I never heard his work with Alcatrazz. It's amazing he was playing like that in 1983 at 19.

Grady,
It's pretty funny but Randy is an outstanding photographer. He started his own business and actually has a film degree from USC. I turned around in line at the coffee joint recently and RJ was standing at the end of the line. Can't miss him at 6'10.

I love Alice Cooper's music! I've seen him live once and must admit it was the highlight of the show (he was at the Heavy MTL, a lot of great bands but he was my favorite).

Great story, thank you for sharing it.

They finally have some pictures posted and its formally up for sale. Wonder how long it will last. From the sounds of it they are not attaching much celebrity premium to it. Bet it will sell fairly soon.
