I've used RSC NYC. As others have said tell them no policy if you are concerned. They will provide an estimate after they inspect. You approve all work.

I've been wanting to send one into RSC but I never have the patience to do so. I know what to expect from my independent but had no dealings with RSC just wanted some input on what to expect from them. Thanks
This is getting confusing.
If you are going to sell it, sell it as is and let the buyer decide the importance of a service and factor the price accordingly.

Good Luck and let us know which way you go. From reading this I get that the 2 big differences between RDC and Independent is 1) the RSC refinishing and 2) RSC replaces the tube (but the independent does not??)

All other aspects are apples for apples - someone correct me if I am mistaken....I have a "Y" serial that I am thinking about getting looked at simply due to it being a decade old.
