Personally after the Sub, if I was sticking to Rolex it would be a Day Date roman dial white, if not a Rolex, I would probably go IWC portuguese...

After the sub should be the sub date, after that anniversary sub, then a gold sub then you can get another if you must.

Everyone is different...so, almost impossible to answer. For me, probably something that has a contrast to the sub. Such as: DJ/DD, Daytona, Milgauss.

I think for me it's not about the make so much as the purpose of the watch. In my ideal world I would have the watch that epitomises each category. So....

Pilot's watch - Breitling Navitimer (done)
Diver's watch - Rolex Sea Dweller 16600 (done)
Dress watch - Patek Philippe Calatrava (I wish)
Travel watch - JLC Master Geographic (just not going to happen - vintage Raketa world time is more likely)
Etc etc

You get the picture

Omega Speedmaster Professional, of course, with manual wind movements 321, 861 or 1861. World's greatest chronometer.
It's my next purchase.
