Not bonding with my TT Sub...is this normal??
I've had my 116613 for about 3 weeks now...don't seem to be bonding with it...currently have a 16610 and a 216570 that I love. Perhaps it's the yellow gold?? Anyone else have an issue like this? Thinking of flipping it for a batman Gmt.. Thanks.

I understand man. I haven't been feeling my TT Sub lately either. Even though it was my dream watch and is the one that got me interested in watches and started my collection. Was thinking of selling to fund something different but I took it to the beach today and realized why the watch is so awesome.

Sometimes the combo of yellow gold in the two tone is almost like not enough gold and too little stainless, as opposed to a solid stainless watch.
Maybe consider trying on a solid gold sub and leaving it on for like ten minutes in the ad and you may see that you'd bond better with watches that are of entirely one arterial pin stead of a combination. I thought I'd like two tone, and I still do on the sub and ym, but after having a solid gold watch the TT is less appealing to me because the yellow gold seems to be calmer and better when it doesn't have to clash or fight against the steel for attention. The all gold models have brushed and polished links so there is a dynamic and dimension to it in the different shines of the different textures, so it seems to be able to bond with its wearer better given that its consistent in its position. That being said, maybe start rotating more on a daily basis and the days you wear the TT see how it feels, don't try to wear it all the time and force the bond, which may take a f moms to develop, but may develop well if done through moderation. So I'd say don't sell it right away. Best of luck! |

I don't think we are a normal breed. Sometimes I wish I wasn't a watch sicko!

I kind of like TT with black, either the SubDate or the GMT, better than with colors.

It is a unique things with us watch enthusiasts. Sometimes we just don't bond with a watch that we thought we were going to.

My first was and still is a 16610 17 years ago. I received a TT Daytona year for my 40th. Now that I' ve owned a polar 216570 for the last month I see the Daytona as even more situational and less of an everyday watch. It' s interesting that you' re not feeling it for the 116613 , especially since it' s more of a sports/ tool watch than my 116523. Maybe give awhile longer?

I had a 16613 for a total of five days. I wanted it for years and when I finally got I couldn't stand it. Follow you're heart and get the piece that sings to you. For me it's always the 16610 I just can't find a more perfect watch!

First I was thinking to get a 16613 but in the long run it became a 16610 and to be honest it is kind of glued to my wrist.
I got several other watches but it seems that I only needed one . . . HAGWe |

The TT Rolex watches are beautiful, classy, and very popular. That being said you have to feel confident with what you are wearing. I know when I wear my 116300 DateJust II, I feel like I am wearing the nicest watch in the world. I would go with your gut. At the end of the day you need to feel great about what is on your wrist..

Had the same problem with my 116203 DJ...it was a beautiful piece but the two tone was just too blingy..flipped it for my 14060 and couldn't be happier

I have had the experience that I didn't end up liking a watch as much as I'd expected to, and also the opposite experience, of really becoming very fond of something that had seemed mundane at first. I can remember a UG and an Omega in particular that I paid a lot for, but didn't end up wearing much. I'm surprised how much I wear my 6614: I love my Daytona and my 5513, have a B&R that looks fantastic on me, and a beautiful WG-bezel T-Bird. But the 6614 and the Explorer II get the most wrist-time.
