You have any pictures? If its genuine, and in good condition, $3800-$4200 would probably be fair.

You can find the relative values of almost any watch by researching what they sell for. Condition will dictate whether the one you are interested in falls in the high or low end of those values..

No "certificate" ever authenticates a watch unless you, personally, have taken that watch in and commissioned that "certificate"..

If the certificate is issued by an AD as an appraisal with appropriate detail, it does serve to authenticate the watch on the day it was issued.

Of course, an unscrupulous seller could remove the Rolex movement and replaced the bracelet with a dupe replica a day later - but this is less common if you are dealing with a trustworthy seller.

As for value, well it's worth what you're willing to pay - brokers give $2K for them at gold and pawn shops if they are in decent condition - and retailers ask $4-5K if they can hype it as "rare and special" somehow...

Don't forget that at that age unless it has had a recent service that you'll more likley than not need a service soon, another item to factor into your price and maybe something to be able to haggle with as far as the price asked. Let us know how you make out.

Great point about possibly needing to send it in for service. Something else that would be awesome to know is a little bit more of the background of the watch. Is it from an original owner? Where was it purchased? Is everything on the watch original? I would also make sure your are purchasing from a trusted seller that is known in the industry. Love the model you are zeroing in on. Good luck and keep us posted!

the 14060 and the 16610 has been going up in value lately. just look at ebay.com for a quick price range. the cheapest is 4400$US for a non date.. I know its mostly dealers but people have been charging alot of money for these things. I'm guessing it has to do with rolex price increases. The new model 114060 goes for 7550+tx=8650 canadian $$$$

back to your question , if you can get it for a hair under 4k us its good. But always factor another 700-1000$ on the service

For a 22 year old watch

You send $500 more and you can get something inside 10 years old. I paid $4,200 for a mint K series 2 years ago.

If you get a 5513, it would become the official Sub of all forum members named Dave Thomas. Here's mine:

The OP said he was looking at a 1991 Sub, not that he had to have a 1991 Sub. Also, I was mostly just pointing out that I found it interesting we both have the same name and like no-date Subs.

I for one would pay an extra $500 to get a trit dial over the luminova.
