It's not the destination but the journey. And you are already off to a wonderful start by taking care of your kid and planning some solo time for yourself.

Wherever you go will be the right place.

All the best!

My dream travel is doing the transsiberian or doing the same route by a 4x4. Actually we were planning with my wife whe she got pregnant....

If you need something more "civilised" Oz and new zealand are great destinations.

Turning 40? You're done for mate.
Just sit in your chair and take it easy.

Go to Costco and buy a big tub of Metamucil - you'll need the fiber being over 40.

That's enough of an adventure since you'll be in your golden years.

I turned 41 about a month ago.

40 is just a number! Barring accidents and catastrophic health issues, theres nothing that you can do just before reaching 40, that you can't do at 41, 42..... Now 50 may be more significant, and 60 will be - so, you've got a few years to define that significant experience! Whatever it is, enjoy!

I shaved my head.

Grew tired of my pal saying I looked like a tonsured monk.
