Before you decide, try on the EXPII, both the newer 42mm (216570) and the previous model 40mm (16570) if you can find one. I have the 16570 and really like it. Some think the 42mm is too big. However, the GMTII sings to me as well. Since you've already tried on the GMT you will not truly know if that's the one if you don't give the EXP a chance too.

You can't miss with those choices. Tough call, each has their virtue.
I have an old GMT (with the "coke" bezel) and love it. It was my first Rolex and is a keeper for sure. I'm personally not crazy about the current Case design on the Sub and GMT, too square for my eye, but that's a personal preference. Were I to get one, I'd probably go for the blue/black combo. I like the Explorer 2. Again, I favor the previous model, size wise, but the new one is striking. I am very fond of the current Explorer 1, too... Have fun making your choice! |
