Best Rolex for a small wrist

The Daytona is the same size (although more comfortable) as the Submariner/GMT and I would go for anything in 36mm (DJ or DD) with very small wrists but it depends on how small we're talking about.

My wife has pretty small wrists and she's loving the fluted 36mm DJ.

my skinny wrist is only 6 inches, but i wear a 40mm rolex. And even 42~43mm for another watches.

Any of the 36mm Oyster models (Oyster Perpetual, Datejust, Day-Date) should be fine. I have quite a small wrist, and the Datejust and Day-Date both fitted me fine after getting all the removable links taken out, and they never felt uncomfortable. If you want something that wears a little smaller still, then a 34mm model (Air King, Date) might be more your thing.

Another thing to consider might be a Cellini. This is Rolex's line of thin and light dress watches, with most gents' models being around 32mm. Most Cellini models come on leather straps, but some are also available with metal bracelets.

Even with small wrists you can build a nice collection. You've got the DD which comes in platinum and gold etc.

Tough call. Go try some on. The rule of thumb is if the lugs don't hang over your okay. Or just buy what you like and feels comfortable on you.

I have a 6.25 in wrist. Anything from a 31mm to a 42mm looks fine. I have a preference for 36mm.

For vintage a 1016 Exp is a safe bet and cool look IMHO.

Size and shape of the wrist are important factors. Of the 40mm sports models, the daytona wears the smallest.

There is no one size for small wrists as some wear large watches to make a fashion statement.

However as a modern and proportionate size I would suggest a Turn-O-Graph.

I have either 6 or 6.5 inch wrists. My first Rolex was the sub for which I have loved for 17 years. One could say it is a little big on my wrist but that never mattered when one is overwhelmed by its beauty. I recently got a DJ 36mm which is more comfy but does not sing like that sub. Get what you are struck by.

Dan, don't you find that the Daytona wears smaller than the Sub and GMT does though? I have the opposite problem, I have bigger wrists and thought the Daytona looked too small but the Sub/GMT looked perfect.

You should first select one that you like on the looks alone and forget about the size. Then go try it on and see how the bracelet can be adjusted for you- if you don't like the feel, move on.

I the current line up, I agree the Air King or Oyster Perpetual are best choices.

Of course the 31mm Datejust is an even smaller option.

Dont worry about wrist size, nowadays big watches are often worn by small wrists

another vote for the 36mm Explorer 1. I wear a model 114270 as my daily and love it. Though the 1016 is a great option if you are looking for vintage.

Rolexes are, across the range, really modest in size compared to the mega-clocks that are now starting to wane in popularity.

There's nothing in the lineup that's out-of-control large, except the DSSD's thickness. The maxi-case subs are pushing it a bit compared with their predecessors, but, 39-40mm seems just about right for any sports watch.

Dress-wise, just avoid the DJII and you're fine.
