You are right - perhaps I was a bit harsh.

Having said that he Hyundai Equus does come standard with an iPad as an owners manual though while still being totally derivative at the same time. I actually like it but it's not at the same level as a top shelf luxury cars.

All in fun - most people wouldn't know the difference between an AP and an Invicta any event.

It's really just for crazy people such as ourselves.

They're not even in the same watch leagues/tiers...go with what you like, but be sure it's the AP

AP win hands down IMHO, whether it is class, quality, furnishing or pedigree. However, if you are secure enough, and this is not an impulse buy, then buy what you really like, not what other people approves. If this mean it is the Hublot, so be it.

Two letters--AP.

Nothing to think about.

Post the incoming in AP section.

When I saw the thread title, I knew what the vast majority, if not all the responses, were going to be. LOL! It's nice to be right.

No, there is no love for Hublot on this website. Before I knew much about watches, I was intrigued by the brand but have cooled off on it.

I will have to side with the herd and vote AP.

I'm not really a fan of either of those models, but I would pick any AP any day of the week over Hublot.

Good point. This particular AP is not what most people think of with AP, design-wise, just as the OP pointed out. I happen to like it for that reason, ie, it's different. That being said, I'm not a big fan of the AP ROO series, looks-wise, and Hublot Big Bang series looks remarkably similar to them. Bottom line, I'd pick the AP out of these two choices, but not because of the name or reputation alone.

I agree with this post. AP produces some extremely IMO ugly watches, as does Hublot. The difference is that AP actually produces some nice ones as well. With Hublot you get all the ugly of AP and none of the history.

Hublot is like that red headed stepchild that you tolerate but don't like.

Their movement is unexciting and their look screams bad replica job.

AP is heads above the other nameless company.

The name Hublot seems to bring major negative reaction on TRF. I own a Hublot, the older Super Flyback in SS / 18K Gold with a black rubber strap. The first day I wore the watch to work, I received more positive feedback than any other watch I own including the 5 Rolex models I wear in rotation as well as my JLC Reverso and Breitling. Our interior designer thought it smashing and one of the owners asked me to let him know if I want to sell it in the future. The Hublot keeps accurate time and is a very comfortable watch to wear.

As far as the screws being out of line, the picture of the AP posted has the same issue on the inner dial. I realize AP holds higher regard than Hublot, but the Super Flyback "spoke" to me and I have never regretted my purchase.

The only other comments I have received regarding my watches has been on my Milguass GV and my GMT Pepsi, but the comments were not nearly as enthusiastic as the Hublot.

Buy the watch that you like, and damn the torpedos. It's your money - Hublot or AP - I am sure you will be happy with either one.

Hublot for sure...

Just thought I'd be different. Actually I wouldn't get either of those watches, but if it has to be one of those, make it the hublot
