WOW...someone lucked out on this 16750 deal
http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...3612&rid=14334
Almost NOS, with all original papers, receipt, service paper, boxes, etc. I offered to buy it, but he wouldn't ship to Canada. Whoever got it will likely flip it for over $4.5K easily. |

But they were overpolished, in mediocre condition, and probably didn't include the papers and original box. If you look at the pictures, the lugs appear never to have been buffed. I bet that this sells on eBay for over $5K. There is a 16750 in barely 80% condition with no boxes/papers at $3.3K right now. I saw one in about 90% condition (not as good as the TZ one) and with no papers/boxes go for $4K last month. There is a seller from Denmark asking $7.5K for his complete 16750, but that price is absurd, and his has clearly been buffed.

No way this sells for 4.5-5k unless the seller finds a sucker. I can buy this watch for 3.4-3.6k all over with papers.....but buying it at 3k is what I've been trying to do, so far unsuccessfully. The buyer got a good deal but lets not get carried away.

well, the watch needed a crystal and service. deduct that from what you think it is worth and then see if you still think it was a great deal. it looked about right to me.

Rolex 16750 is a great watch
Quote:
The 16750 is a great watch, it combines the quick set movement and Rolex will still service the watch. All of the GMT models have been increasing in price over the last couple of years, and especially since Rolex went to the new Ceramic Bezel watches with polished bracelets. |

Collectors tend to favor the early matt dial version (which the second one was). |
